Hey, so, yeah, I released a chrome extension. It’s specifically for chatGPT PLUS users that like to use the plugins feature.

Here’s the github link.

*********** HOW TO USE ChatGPT-4 PLUGINS MODE MAESTRO *************************

FIRSTLY, click the “Start New chatGPT-4 Chat in Plugins Mode” button. It opens a new tab directly to a fresh chatGPT chat, using the GPT-4 model, with Plugins activated. No more hover-click detours!

SECONDLY, this plugin resizes the “Plugins Dropdown menu” to suit the number of Plugins you have installed GPT-4 extensions.

SYNOPSIS: While using the chatGPT-4 Plugins Mode, the Plugins Dropdown menu only displays 4 Plugins at a time, and many of us have maybe dozens of plugins installed. This extension lengthens your ChatGPT-4 ‘Plugins Dropdown menu’ to display all of your installed plugins. You MUST have a chatGPT Plus account, and this plugin ONLY works when you’re in GPT-4’s Plugins Mode, and it ONLY has an effect if you have downlo

aded more than (4) plugins.

***********WHY INSTALL THIS PLUGIN? ***********

There are a few things about using chatGPT PLUS’s GPT-4 (Plugins Mode) model that drove me up a wall:

1) Once you’re logged into chatGPT PLUS, every time you click “New Chat,” you’re thrown into the chatGPT 3.5 model by default. Why, oh why? GPT-4 is smarter.

2) When you finally *DO* get a chatGPT-4 chat initiated, you must hover over the chatGPT-4 button to activate a dropdown menu, from which you choose the Plugins or Browsing modes. [Since there are browsing plugins, Browsing mode is kinda moot, so Plugins mode is *where it’s at*]

3) AFTER you have started a GPT-4 with Plugins chat, and you’ve chosen some plugins, the stock chatGPT-4 w/Plugins DROPDOWN MENU is so small, you can only see 4 plugins at a time. WHY? Choosing plugins is super frustrating on the site because of this.

So, I rolled up my sleeves and created the “GPT-4 Dropdown Resizer.”

This plugin might have a short shelf-life, but for now, it’s your ticket to a frustration-free experience!
