In 2007, the Peak Summit decided to try its hand at a 3-day camping, music and art festival outside of Louisville. 40 bands from Louisville and the region, 12 artists, 4 dj’s, 3 dance troupes and a slew of peripheral activities dominated the 5-acre, 3-stage plot of land. The vibe was wonderful, the crowd was good (even though it rained!), and the venue begged the Peak Summit to return. The experiment was a success…but the artists agreed on 2 things…they preferred a multi-venue format, and they loved the energy of playing inside of the city of Louisville. Therefore, it was agreed upon to pursue the multi-venue format more fervently, on a larger scale, and scout for a closer campground to incorporate into the festival as a whole.
That way, both goals could be accomplished!
