2004 was a busy year for the Peak Summit. In January, a Peak Summit was staged in Cincinnati, OH. Attendance was good, and media sponsorship was attained. As a result, several Louisville bands were introduced to the Cincinnati market. In May, St. Matthew’s hosted another record-breaking blowout. Throughout 2004, a series of “jams” was staged in Louisville venues under the Peak Summit name, heightening the organization’s name recognition. These events provided an opportunity for members of the Louisville music scene who hadn’t performed in one of the full-on festivals. Musicians from a cross-section of the various local music scenes participated, creating a feeling of mutual camaraderie and respect. Attendance was great, and the jams captured the essence of the Peak Summit’s creative spirit.
