In late 2006, the Peak Summit decided to try other venue areas, and approached 4th Street “Local” (BBC, Villa Fontana, Cunningham’s, Café Kilimanjaro, and the Kentucky Theater). A festival was in process when one of the major venues, the Kentucky Theater, went bankrupt and closed. As a result, the Peak Summit moved to Bardstown Road in February of 2007. Each of the three participating venues experienced success similar to St Matthews… the Peak Summit set their business-record-sales highs, which still stand. The only unfortunate reality was that there were lines to get *into* the venues from 11pm-1am, in spite of a lack of easily-accessible parking. These venues turned out to be too small for the festival!
